Bamboo is a fast-growing plant. Its production is not only environmentally friendly and sustainable but also helps to combat environmental problems such as climate change or deforestation.

Why did we choose BAMBOO to produce our souvenirs?

Bamboo is a type of herbaceous plant, and it is estimated that there are about 1600 different varieties of different sizes, colors, mechanical properties, and climatic preferences.
The best-known giant species is probably Phyllostacgus pubescens also called "Moso bamboo", it is native to China and other Asian countries and can grow up to 20 meters long with a diameter of about 12 cm.

Physically, bamboo is a great support because of its hardness, durability, and stability, but the main reason for choosing this material as the key element of our souvenirs is that it is an "unlimited" resource.
It grows quickly, up to 1 meter a day, and by harvesting canes that are at least 5 years old, we get more space and yield in the growth of the youngest individuals, maximizing their productivity.

It contributes to reforestation: The underground root system helps to maintain the soil and restore water tables making bamboo suitable for reforestation of poor soils.

Harvested and managed sustainably: 20-25% of canes can be sustainably harvested annually without decreasing the size of the plantation or the number of canes per hectare.

Counteracts greenhouse emissions: Like any other plant species, bamboo photosynthesizes, a process by which it absorbs CO2 and converts it into biomass. Given its unique growth speed, combined with efficient harvesting and management, this type of bamboo absorbs more CO2 than it emits during its production process. Therefore, the balance of emissions produced until the product reaches our hands is zero.

This is why we believe that using bamboo instead of wood or plastic to create our souvenir magnets is an ideal and environmentally friendly alternative that ensures a product with minimal environmental impact.
